RAW’s (Reclaim Another Woman) focus is to break the alarming cycle of family violence, repeat offending, poverty and disadvantage in New Zealand. To fill a current gap in the services that are currently offered to support and prevent women returning to violent relationships and incarceration. RAW believes that ALL women and children have a right to live without violence.
RAW was born
A simple concept where Annah Stretton matched significant others (mentors) with women that had been subjected to domestic violence. The mentors essentially guide and support the RAW women into a journey of education, which RAW locates and negotiates for the women. It has become an organisation that ensures, facilitates and fosters incredible change for women who have been subjected to difficult life situations. It tackles and breaks the cycle of disadvantage; addressing the ongoing problem for all New Zealanders that this life cycle creates.
“RAW WILL HELP WOMEN THAT HAVE BEEN SUBJECTED TO VIOLENT SITUATIONS FIND A PATHWAY FORWARD”
This is a model, proudly supported by Net Branding that simply requires one woman to care enough to give her time to another woman. Find out more about RAW.
