What is your opinion on the privacy setting on Facebook? Do you think it’s fair that Facebook stores all your information and data (private messages, photos etc)?
Privacy transcends many applications, and as users we are able to make a conscious choice around what we share and what we do not share. We have tracking devices on our smartphones, and that information is certainly stored. Facebook has improved their privacy and security settings over the last while but it is up to the Facebook users to use these functions. As more information is shared and stored, there are potential controversial privacy issues that Facebook will need to navigate. The handling of sensitive information could well form the crossroads for Facebook’s future, possibly determining its overwhelming success or its demise.
