It is almost Christmas – have you got your holiday online and social media marketing sorted?
As a business, often the build up to the holiday period and the holiday period itself could be your busiest time of year.
Planning your social media marketing for the Christmas period is important.
- Start early. Beyond the planning – which you certainly need to do in a timely manner – do you need to build up “excitement” as the busiest time of the year approaches. Use social media marketing to create a buzz around your brand and products leading up to Christmas.
- Create a marketing and content release schedule. Are you able to pre plan content for those busy days or those special holidays. If you require any support in order to pre-set content for release please contact our Net Branding team.
- Create a Christmas brand image. Be creative with your seasonally themed covers, images, profile photos and custom apps thumbnail images. At the very lease consider a new Facebook cover image for your Facebook business page. Perhaps a new image or background image on the website, a change of image on Twitter. There are many cost effective options available to you so this imagery need not be expensive.
- Consider engaging content for your social media networks. As an example: – If you are a hotel you could ask – Where is your favourite place to spend Christmas? If you are a café you could ask – what roast do you do on Christmas Day? If you are a novelty gift store you could ask – what was the best present Santa ever brought to you? or some general ones – “What’s your favourite Holiday song?” – “Last minute Holiday shopping… guilty or not?” – “Click LIKE if you’re excited for Christmas carolling.” People love to share Christmas tips and ideas so use this human want to share to your business’s best advantage.
- Consider Holiday related adverts to drive traffic to your promotion specials or site. Most business may have used Facebook adverts or other social media advertising in the past but this is a great time to use these mediums as most people are on holiday and taking some time out to spend more time on their social media sites.
