Facebook guideline changes – coming into force in the New Year – the date 15 January 2013.
It is best to be prepared for the Facebook guideline changes. Facebook are clamping down on too much text in your Promoted Post and Page Post Ad Images. Why you may ask? This change is to prevent your Facebook News Feeds being filled with posts that look more like banner advertising than engaging and useful information, which is what they were intended for.
We’ve come to accept Promoted Posts and Page Posst Ads as the norm for presenting your Business on Facebook. A way to grab attention and engagement of current and potential page fans but now, given the rise in the use of newsfeed ads ( i.e. where users pay to broadcast their ads with Promoted Posts or place Page Post Ads through Power Editor) Facebook are now applying the same 20% rule to these images too.
Since the introduction of the Facebook Timeline format early in the year, there have been restrictions covered in a previous post but this change can impact on your current imagery used on this Social Networking Site.
