LinkedIn Image Dimensions and Aspect Ratio Update

When LinkedIn offers the ability to reach more than 65 million business professionals, it is extremely important to have your communication come across as clear and effective as possible. As many users traverse personal and company profiles every day, it becomes paramount to pique their interest with high-impact content – making use of visual media at the right image dimensions for the greatest effect.

Net Branding was alerted to a change in the ideal image dimensions for the greatest impact on the platform. We found our best practices superseded and images were now cropped, failing to deliver the value they should.

The internet remains an incredibly dynamic and ever-changing medium. LinkedIn image size standards are no exception.

We looked into the issue and found the guidelines for LinkedIn Image Dimensions had been updated. Follow our guidelines below for best practice in the foreseeable future.

The dimensions of an image as part of a post on your company page now should be of a 1.91:1 aspect ratio, preferably 1200 pixels wide by 627 pixels tall. For a personal profile, 552 pixels wide by 368 pixels tall are recommended.

If anything, this is a great reminder to keep informed and remain at the front of the pack. To stay in the know about social media and digital marketing happenings, why not sign up for Net Branding’s newsletter?
