When adding new members to your Page you may elect to enhance their role within your Facebook Business Page and allocate them a particular Page admin or Page role.

But how much authority are you really handing over and are you placing the control and even ongoing access too your Business Page at risk.

Within Facebook, as an example, we all know that you can add a new Admin at any time from the page roles section of the settings window.

There are several different admin roles that you can select.  These page admin roles allowing you to control the amount of access your new admin users will receive.

What are the  five different options for Page admin access within Facebook?

Below you will find  a listed of Page roles graded from most access and control to the least access and control.

  1. Admin – Can manage all aspects of the Page including sending messages and posting as the Page, creating ads, seeing which admin created a post or comment, viewing insights and assigning Page roles.
  2. Editor – Can edit the Page, send messages and post as the Page, create ads, see which admin created a post or comment, and view insights.
  3. Moderator – Can respond to and delete comments on the Page, send messages as the Page, see which admin created a post or comment, create ads, and view insights.
  4. Advertiser – Can see which admin created a post or comment, create ads and view insights.
  5. Analyst – Can see which admin created a post or comment and view insights.

And finally,  you have your regular Facebook fans (which you control what they see on your page), and the non-fans (what the public can see).

In years gone by you had only admins and visitors and no permissions status in-between those two user roles.  So, if you allocated someone to work on your Facebook Page within your business, you were forced to give them complete admin privileges, meaning they could then remove you as admin.

This has changed so understand these roles and only allocate Facebook admin roles that the particular Facebook user requires.
